The Committee of the Sector Rūnanga consists of 3 representatives (or 8 in the case of the health sector – 2 per region) who between them represent Māori within the sector on:
(i) the sector committee, and
(ii) The Committee of Te Rūnanga o Ngā Toa Āwhina [Rule 37].
There are only two representatives on each of these committees so the Committee of the Sector Rūnanga must work out for themselves how to allocate the workload and decide who attends which meeting. The role and functions of the Committee of the Sector Rūnanga are:
